Featured project 2026
After the
Season
Hotel Mir · Zvonačka Banja, Serbia
After the Season explores spaces whose existence is tied to a particular way of life and what happens to them when that life comes to an end. In the first phase of the project I return human presence there.
A resort is an environment organised around temporary inhabitation. Its architecture, infrastructure and social rules are created for a particular way of life that begins, continues for a limited time, and then comes to an end.
The project began in April 2026 with first field research at Hotel Mir, a former resort complex in Zvonačka Banja, eastern Serbia.
The hotel has been abandoned for around twenty years, but a significant part of its architecture has survived, although many elements of its infrastructure have disappeared over time.
